Kurt leads ArborMetrix in its delivery of healthcare performance management solutions. He provides strategic direction and partners with ArborMetrix’s clients, helping deliver value, support quality improvement, and drive success with value-based payment models and CMS quality reporting in an increasingly dynamic and complex regulatory environment.
Kurt’s prior experience includes more than 25 years of founding and leading successful early- and growth-stage software ventures, targeting a variety of markets, including healthcare, automotive, aerospace, entertainment, and consumer products. In addition to his domestic and international operating roles, Kurt was Entrepreneur in Residence at RPM Ventures, a seed- and early-stage venture firm that invests in information technology, and he taught a course on entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan. Kurt holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence), and he attended the Executive Education Program at University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Spencer is an experienced physician-executive with a valuable perspective that helps him lead ArborMetrix in its delivery of clinical analytics and registry solutions. He provides strategic guidance to ArborMetrix’s team and clients to help them support clinical quality improvement initiatives, research, industry partnerships, and optimize success with quality reporting.
Spencer earned his M.D. and M.B.A. at the University of Michigan, and completed residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Health System. Following residency, he completed subspecialty fellowship training in pain medicine at Johns Hopkins. He has experience in private medical practice, including founding a comprehensive sports medicine, spine, and pain management clinic. In addition to his clinical roles, Spencer has experience in medical device and pharmaceutical development, as well as life science venture capital. He most recently functioned as the healthcare team lead for the University of Michigan Wolverine Venture Fund.
Ron is the head of ArborMetrix’s revenue team, and is responsible for bringing ArborMetrix’s solutions to a wider market, including physician groups, hospitals and health systems, industry partners such as medical device companies, and medical specialty societies and associations.
He has more than 25 years of experience building and managing sales teams and bringing new technology products to market. Ron has served previously as head of sales for of Eagle Creek Software Services, as well as in leadership positions with data and analytics organizations ExactTarget, Informatica, and MicroStrategy. Ron completed the Executive Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from Illinois State University.
Chris leads the design, development, implementation, and refinement of clinical algorithms and reports within the ArborMetrix platform, as well as the preparation of bespoke research and analysis for individual clients.
Chris has 20 years of experience in health services research, outcomes analysis, and software development. Prior to joining ArborMetrix, Chris was Executive Vice President at SCIOinspire responsible for software development, delivery and sales, and practice lead for analytics and actuarial services. Previously, he directed the informatics department at Health Dialog, managed the Data Center for the Department of Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and consulted for The Leapfrog Group. He holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Connecticut and a M.S. in epidemiology/biostatistics from Dartmouth.
Steve joined ArborMetrix as its Chief Financial Officer in 2013. He is a seasoned executive with nearly 30 years of financial management, fundraising, and operating experience.
Prior to joining ArborMetrix, Steve served as CFO of HandyLab, Inc. an Ann Arbor-based clinical diagnostic company. At HandyLab, he participated with the executive management team in the growth and venture financing of the company, ultimately resulting in its sale for $275M. Previously, Steve served as CFO of Ardesta, LLC, an industry accelerator dedicated to the development of microsystems and other small technologies. Before joining Ardesta, Steve was CFO of Genomic Solutions Inc., a life science products company. He led Genomic Solutions through a period of rapid growth including an IPO and merger with Harvard Biosciences, Inc. Steve has also held various financial management positions at US Robotics and Comshare. Steve was an audit manager at Ernst & Young and earned a B.S.B.A. in accounting from John Carroll University.
