ArborMetrix Showcases Advanced Quality Reporting Tools at HIMSS17

ArborMetrix showcases provider quality improvement and CMS quality reporting solutions at HIMSS17 in the Clinical & Business Intelligence Knowledge Center, Booth #6779-24

ANN ARBOR, MI (February 16, 2017) – The majority of the more than 800,000 active physicians in the United States are facing a new reality in 2017: the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Quality Payment Program (QPP) and its Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). CMS estimates more than 500,000 clinicians are eligible for its QPP this year alone and are required to report on various quality measures to receive incentives. To succeed with MIPS, many of these providers are turning to Qualified Clinical Data Registries (QCDRs), CMS-approved entities (registries) that collect clinical data for the purpose of improving the quality of care delivered to patients in a particular population.

“The QCDR has quickly become a powerful tool for providers to optimize CMS reimbursements,” said Kurt Skifstad, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer, ArborMetrix. “The tens of thousands of providers using QCDR reporting solutions powered by ArborMetrix for 2016 reporting [under PQRS] have not only been able to meet requirements but also improve their own performance and deliver better care.”

ArborMetrix provides advanced solutions for providers to meet quality reporting requirements under MIPS, specifically for them to report to CMS through a Qualified Registry (QR) or a QCDR. Physicians and other healthcare providers also use ArborMetrix’s solutions to benchmark performance, advance quality improvement initiatives, and create new knowledge through clinical research.

“Our tailored solutions quickly arm providers with the accurate and actionable information they need to be successful with collaborative quality improvement, quality reporting, and research,” Skifstad said. “We deploy highly advanced integration, analytic, and reporting capabilities that help them easily measure, evaluate, and understand their business and performance.”
